Some of My Top Movies! ... in no particular order.

  • The Shawshank Redemption (1994) - There are scenes in this one that could be triggering but the storyline is A+
  • Escape from Alcatraz (1979) - Clint Eastwood kicking ass and taking names.
  • Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) - Audrey Hepburn & the fashion.

  • ALL Studio Ghibli Movies. - Ponyo was my first but I honestly love them all. Do you prefer subbed or dubbed?
  • The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) - I adored the book in high school. I really identified with the story. The movie based on the book did not disappoint. I'm a sucker for coming of age stories I guess.
  • Dead Poets Society (1989) - Classic and deep! Can we please rewrite the ending though? TW

  • The Color Purple (1985) - "... an African-American woman living in the South who survives incredible abuse and bigotry." Yes. 100%
  • Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) - Indie movie starring Jim Carey. It's like a science-fiction love story. Very odd with a good storyline.
  • Practical Magic (1998) - This has a little bit of everything. Love, heartache, family curses, and magic. Plus ... Sandra Bullock. Yah know?
  • Meet the Robinsons (2007) - I cry every. single. time. Without fail. When Little Wonders by Rob Thomas starts playing at the end, I start sobbing. A+ feels a "kids" movie.

Honorable mention to the newly released Godzilla vs. Kong!
My boyfriend's family rented out a movie theater last week so we could have a watch party and it was amazing. 15/10 Recommend!

THIS was really hard for me. Apparently, I'm a pretty big movie person.

Heart Smiles,
Sophia
